After many years of working in health care I had the chance to move to something that gave my creative talents an opportunity to develop. I have always had an interest in art and crafts that allow me to use whatever design ability I have.
I started my photography hobby some years ago with an Olympus 3mp digital camera inherited from my husband. From there I moved to a Panasonic with a 10x zoom and macro capability. I now use a Canon DSLR with a variety of lenses as my camera of choice with a Canon SX210 compact as my go anywhere device.
My love of animals and nature means it has become my passion to capture memories of things I have seen and places I have visited for the enjoyment of others.
I like to photograph anything and everything that catches my eye wherever I happen to be at any time; from the slimy slug to the beauty of a rose wet from recent summer rain.
I also enjoy digitally manipulating photographs either to emphasise a particular aspect in a single picture or to combine several to produce what I believe is the perfect composition.
